Anyone wishing to vote in the Village of Oostburg, are required to register, and have four options to register:
POLLING PLACE & HOURS
The official polling place for the residents of the Village of Oostburg (inside Village limits) is located at the Oostburg Municipal Building, 1140 Minnesota Avenue, Oostburg. The polls are open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM on election day. The polling place is accessible to disabled voters.
ABSENTEE VOTING
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the Village for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee allot may be issued.
You must make a request for an absentee ballot in writing. Contact the municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the election. You may also submit a written request in the form of a letter or email. Your written request must list your voting address within the village, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature. You may make application for an absentee ballot by mail or in person.
The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is 5 days before the election.
You may also request and vote an absentee ballot in the clerk's office. The first day to vote an absentee ballot in the clerk's office for the November 3rd election is October 20, 2020. The last day to vote an absentee ballot in the clerk's office is the Friday before the election.

- BY MAIL: Download the Application for Voter Registration (el131), complete the form and mail it into the municipal clerk's office up 20 days before the election. Mail to the Village Clerk's Office, PO Box 700227, Oostburg, WI 53070. (after the 20th day before the election you must register in person). You will need to provide a proof of residence document with your registration.
- IN PERSON: Register in the municipal clerk's office through the Friday prior to the election. If you are registering in the clerk's office you will need to provide a proof of residence document.
- AT THE POLLING PLACE ON ELECTION DAY: You can register to vote on Election Day at the polls. You will need to provide a proof of residence document. All Proof of Residence documents must include the voter's name and current address.
